
Meta’s instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is working on a new feature for its iOS app. According to the WABetaInfo report.
WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users to trigger stickers within the app. The following features were found in the latest WhatsApp beta update for iOS 23.10.0.74 which is in the TestFlight app.
Sharing a screenshot of the feature, the following report says that a ‘New Sticker’ option will be present inside the chat sharing action sheet.

The report, however, indicates that the new feature will allow users to select photos from their library and offer several tools for editing them, such as the ability to remove backgrounds.
With the tool to trigger stickers built into WhatsApp, users no longer have to be tied to third-party apps.
As mentioned above, this feature is currently under development. It will likely be rolled out in a future update.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has introduced a new Chat Lock feature that supports keeping users’ messages ‘private and safe’.
This new feature will keep users’ ‘intimate conversations’ behind an additional layer of security. Any new notification regarding ‘locked chat’.
It will also be hidden and the user will be asked to enter their device password or biometric info like fingerprint touch or facial recognition.
- Tap the name of the contact or group you want to lock
- Click the Lock Chats option under the contact details page
- Choose whether you want to lock your chats using your biometrics or passwords.
- Enter your mobile password or biometric check and your special chats will be locked.
