The Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus is the latest variant of the Galaxy series. Previously, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were launched on the market. There are several significant differences between the Galaxy S6 Plus and the two previous variants. The most basic difference lies in the kitchen spur. The kitchen runway on the Galaxy S6 Plus is decreasing. The Galaxy S6 Plus chipset uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. The processor is also a hexa-core (quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 and dual-core ARM Cortex-A57). The GPU adopts Adreno 418. Previously, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge used their own chipset, the Exynos 7420.
The processor is octacore (quad-core 2.1 GHz ARM Cortex-A57 and quad-core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A53), the GPU is Mali-T760MP8. The screen resolution and pixel density are also different. Again there are drops on the Galaxy S6 Plus. The screen resolution is only 1920 x 1080 pixels. Its pixel density is ~401.
Whereas on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge the screen resolution is 2560 x 1440 pixels. Its pixel density is ~557. This makes the color display and image sharpness of the Galaxy S6 Plus decrease. Another difference lies in the network speed. The Galaxy S6 Plus has a lower data rate when compared to the previous two variants.
The Galaxy S6 Plus carries HSPA data rates of 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE Cat4 150/50 Mbps. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are able to surf the internet at speeds up to 4G LTE. LTE Cat differences affect the speed when surfing in cyberspace. The next difference lies in the size of the screen. Galaxy S6 Plus adopted a wide screen of 5.5 inches. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge only adopt a screen of 5.1 inches. The wider screen on the Galaxy S6 Plus makes users more flexible in playing games, watching videos, and opening multiple tabs
