OnePlus has announced the exact launch date of their flagship smartphone OnePlus 8 on April 14, uniquely through a OnePlus banner writing the location where the launch will take place at home. Yep, OnePlus will be doing a Live launch which you will be able to watch right from ‘ House ‘.

This isn’t the first time a tech company has taken their latest product launch event online. As we all know, the world is currently in a global emergency due to the threat of the COVID-19 virus.

So far, there has been a lot of information circulating about the device referred to as Flagship Killer from OnePlus in this year. The OnePlus 8 was announced to have two variants later, viz “Pro” And “Regular”.

In design, this phone hasn’t changed much from its predecessor, the OnePlus 7. The most obvious difference is only in the location of the front camera. Where, OnePlus puts a front camera with a Punch-Hole design (inside the screen). Unlike the OnePlus 7 which carries a Pop-Up front camera design.

For hardware matters, it seems that the Flagship Killer jargon embedded in this cellphone is indeed not just a figment of the imagination. OnePlus is equipping its newest flagship with the fastest processor at the moment, Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm. And combined with a RAM capacity of up to 12GB along with internal memory up to 256GB. That’s not enough, the OnePlus 8 screen is rumored to support it refresh rate reaches 120HZ and supports a 5G network connection complete with IP68 certification.

In terms of cameras, the two will have slight differences. For the OnePlus 8 Pro, there will be four main camera setups with a configuration of 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + 5MP. Meanwhile, for the regular OnePlus 8 version, OnePlus only provides three cameras with a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP configuration.

If you look at the specifications offered, it seems that the flagship from OnePlus is quite worth the wait, we’ll just have to wait for the April 14 launch at ‘House’.
