UPI Tuition Fees (Indonesian education university)
The Indonesian University of Education (UPI) is recruiting new students for the 2020/2021 academic year through several options, namely SNMPTN, UPI Independent Selection for Achievement, SBMPTN, and UPI Independent Selection.

UPI has announced the amount of tuition fees that new students must pay this year. Tuition fees at UPI for new students through the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and SM UPI routes show the level of courses (UKT) which are divided into 8 groups.
While the tuition fees that apply to UPI program students for self-selection and postgraduate studies share 4 components, namely registration fees, fees for setting up facilities and academic quality, tuition fees, and institutional development funds.
Types of UPI Pathways (Indonesian University of Education)
If you want to get a tertiary education, you can’t only look at the series of State Universities (PTN), in fact there are also many Private Universities (PTS) whose quality is not bad.
If you want to study at a State University (PTN), at least you have to go through several levels, for example SBMPTN (Joint Selection for State University Entrance), SMNPTN (National Selection for State University Entrance), and the Independent Pathway.
Following are details of UPI tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic year as reported by the official website of the state campus, the following are the types of pathways:
1. Special Achievement SBMPTN, SNMPTN, and UPI SM
All three routes have the same price. In fact, the UKT group was divided into 8 groups from Rp.500,000 to Rp.7,650,000, except for international programs in education which varied from Rp.500,000 to Rp.8,190,000.
The amount of UKT that must be paid every semester by UPI students who graduate with SBMPTN, SNMPTN, and SM-UPI achievements in 2020 is divided into three categories namely high, medium and low.
a. High category: IDR 500,000 – IDR 7,650,000
In all study programs at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the UPI Cibiru Campus, the Information Technology Study Program, the Nurse Study Program at the UPI Sumedang Campus, and the Telecommunication Technology Study Program at the UPI Purwakarta Campus.
b. Low Category: IDR 500,000 – IDR 5,650,000
Valid for several faculties that hold UKT for the lowest income group, for example with several courses at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FPIPS).
C. Middle Category: IDR 500,000 – IDR 6,330,000
Used for several courses in the Faculty of Didactic Language and Letters, all courses in the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education and Training (FPTK) and the Faculty of Business Education (FPEB) as well as several courses at UPI. offered by the Tasikmalaya Campus and the UPI Serang Campus.
2. Independent Selection Path
The tuition fee that must be paid by Mandiri Selection students is higher than several other elective pathways. There are four components of education costs that apply to this category, namely:
- Registration fee : IDR 1,500,000
- Study Organization Fee : between IDR 4,920,000 to IDR 6,560,000
- Institutional Development Fund : between IDR 5,000,000 to IDR 15,000,000.
- Cost of Quality Development and Academic Facilities : IDR 5,000,000 to IDR 7,500,000 (except for international courses with a science education major of IDR 15,000,000).
Based on the information above, the maximum fee price is IDR 39,060,000 for an international science education program. The lowest price is Rp. 19,920,000, – which applies to elementary school teacher education study programs.
3. Diploma Program
Similar to the tuition fees for Undergraduate students of free elective courses, Diploma students will also have to pay tuition fees, which consist of four components.
a. D3 Nursing
- Registration : IDR 1,500,000.
- Cost of Implementation of Learning : IDR 5,990,000.
- Institutional Development Fund : IDR 10,000,000.
- Cost of Quality Development and Academic Facilities : IDR 5,000,000.
b. D3 Mapping Survey and Geographical Information
- Registration : IDR 1,500,000.
- Cost of Implementation of Learning : IDR 5,040,000.
- Institutional Development Fund : IDR 10,000,000.
- Cost of Quality Development and Academic Facilities : IDR 5,000,000.
c. D3 Nursing UPI Sumedang Campus
- Registration : IDR 1,500,000.
- Cost of Implementation of Learning : IDR 5,040,000.
- Institutional Development Fund : IDR 10,000,000.
- Cost of Quality Development and Academic Facilities : IDR 5,000,000.
